About

Empowered Healing

I help clients navigate ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions with empathy and practical strategies. I understand firsthand the profound impact of family complexity, loss, and cultural identity on mental health. Numerous life challenges required me to confront my own trauma and take responsibility for my well-being, shaping the empathetic, human-centered approach I bring to therapy. My style is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping clients feel seen and understood while equipping them with tools that work in everyday life. I believe in empowering clients beyond their diagnoses: while a diagnosis can provide clarity, it does not define your potential. My humanistic approach emphasizes strengths, values, and capacity for growth alongside symptom management. I use evidence-based approaches (CBT and DBT) to support emotional regulation, executive functioning, focus, and healthy coping skills. Together, we explore patterns, process past experiences, and create strategies tailored to your life and goals. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in child welfare, community mental health, and program development, gaining firsthand insight into how early experiences and environments shape us and how we view healing as humans. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan, where I specialized in Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health. This specialized educational pathway emphasized the importance of holistic, collaborative care, showing how healthcare systems can work together to address the physical, mental, and behavioral needs of individuals and families, ultimately improving outcomes for communities and their access to healthcare services. Combined with my lived experiences, this approach allows me to tailor treatment plans to each client’s unique cultural, economic, and social background. If you’re ready to take the next step, I would be honored and privileged to support you. Together, we can help you become more grounded, confident, and in control of your life!
